Our digital storytelling campaign #CreativityLivesHere continues in 2020 with more great videos from the people behind creative community development.
From communities of all sizes across the United States, these short video stories are windows into the lives of amazing artists, community planners, local leaders, and allies, who are sharing the ideas, challenges, and inspirations that drive their work every day. The goal of the campaign is to raise broader awareness of the creative people who are helping make their communities healthier, more equitable, and more sustainable, and with over 30,000 views on Facebook alone in the first two months, others are starting to take note.
Help us continue the trend by sharing the videos on your social media, and by making a short film of your own about your work or project. As we keep building this collection of grassroots stories in 2020, you’ll see them shared across our social media platforms, as well as the platforms of many of our friends and partners.
It’s easy to make a video! All you need is an iPhone, the DIYdoc App, and a story about how arts and culture is helping address a challenge or opportunity in your community. From there, enlist a friend to help, or shoot the video yourself through the app selfie style, and add your voice to the growing collection of stories from across the United States.
Check out the collection on our YouTube channel, and keep watching throughout this month as new ones roll in and get shared.
