Artspace is working with Junebug Productions, Treme4Treme, the New Orleans Master Crafts Guild, Providence Housing and others to transform an abandoned six-building, two-block public school campus in the heart of Treme -- vacant since Katrina -- into an arts and education center that will include 73 units of affordable live/work space for low income artist families. Construction is expected to begin in the fall of 2015.
