With its public art program, Art CommisionsGI, The Trust for Governors Island commissions internationally recognized artists to create ambitious, thoughtfully developed art installations throughout Governors Island. These works respond to the Island's unique location and history, new landscapes and democratic culture and set the stage for the Island’s next chapter as a year round destination.
