Miami, FL (population 414,000) is home to the Wynwood neighborhood, which was developed to be both a residential neighborhood, as well as a light manufacturing and retail center. The Miami Light Project, a previous ArtPlace grantee, is proposing the full activation of its 12,000 square foot space into a community center for Wynwood by offering it for use to local artists, arts organizations, community members, and visiting arts collaborations.
