We are thrilled to welcome a new member to the Artplace Team: Justin Giles joins us as our new Grants Manager.
A new position at ArtPlace America, Justin joins us as our new Grants Manager and will be responsible for the ArtPlace FLUXX presence. As our new operations hub, Justin will insure that ArtPlace databases, internal workings, and operations go off without a hitch!
Justin has been working at OPERA America as the Artistic Services Coordinator where he managed professional development activities for artists. His work was integral to grant administration, programming, visa support, and production. Prior to that, he has worked within several arts organizations and nonprofits including Merkin Concert Hall at The Kaufman Center, Opera Singers Initiative, and the Clinton Foundation. A classically trained musician himself, Justin has sung with various choruses around New York, and been involved with the Virginia Opera, Opera Theater Pittsburgh, and the Pittsburgh Opera. Beyond his work in the arts, he was a Co-Founder and the primary marketing officer for Climafy, a clean-tech company focused on affordable residential retrofits. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Hampton University, and a Master’s degree in Social-Organizational Psychology from Teachers College Columbia University.
