Jotham Walsvik, age 12, is a Wadena County 4-H member who has discovered he has a love and skill for working with wood.
It is likely much of his interest has been inspired by watching and working alongside his grandpa, uncles, and brothers, all talented woodworkers who have been willing to share their knowledge with him. Jotham’s own woodworking pursuit was launched when he, at the age of ten, successfully designed and built a rustic chair from reclaimed pallet wood. Since then he has added an assortment of tools that have helped him complete many more projects, including a desk clock that won a blue ribbon at the Minnesota State Fair.
Jotham created this beautiful cabinet that will be used to display the Recipiece Pottery created by Linda Holliday.
